Bringing the warmth of timber and a new lease of life to the ice
Slough Ice Arena
The refurbishment and extension of an existing 1980’s Ice Arena. This project revitalised an existing ice rink, adding new facilities, café and entrance as well as refurbishing the fabric of the whole building.

To house the new entrance, café and climbing centre, a 30m span, 12m high glulam arched extension was designed and built on the front of the building.
By refurbishing the existing structure and extending to bring the building up to modern standard adding new facilities, the time, economic and environmental cost of the building were minimised.
