Client: GP Group

Architect: WATG

The new Fairmont hotel and resort development, designed with WATG, is located in the stunning Sunset Bay, St Lucia.

The proposed five star development will include a 120 room luxury hotel, 40 private residential villas, specialist restaurants, spa facilities, a residents clubhouse, pools, kids club, marina and beach facilities, helicopter landing zone.

The project includes a number of major civil engineering works which are required for construction to take place and to ensure that the site is secured against environmental design conditions, including flooding due to rainfall and sea water ingress. The works identified are:
Road Relocation Works: to allow full use of site while still maintained adequate access to the site both pre and post discussion.
Coastal & Maritime Works: to provide coastline defences thus protecting the new marina, new beach and overall development from the effects of severe weather events.
Watercourse Diversion Works: to protect site against collected surface water flooding from lands upstream and control the flow of water through the site thus providing more usable space.
Earthworks: cut and fill of site rock formations to allow full use of site. This analysis to quantify the extent of material to be excavated on site and work with the design team to reuse this material within the site where possible.

Engenuiti will work with a local engineer to ensure the design is delivered on-site.
