Client: Building Trust Partnership

Architect: Weston + Williamson

Engenuiti worked with Weston Williamson + Partners, Integration and the Building Trust International to design and build a new school building for the children of Khyaung.

Khyaung Primary and Secondary School is situated 40 kilometres east of Phnom Penh City in Khampong Cham Province. The School currently educates 350 students aged between 1 and 17. However, the existing classroom buildings do not provide sufficient space to meet the children and teachers’ needs, and are in a state of disrepair.

The Khyaung Project provides the school with a modern and cost-effective building, housing three additional classrooms and a library space. The design maximises use of existing local materials and construction methods to provide a sustainable design solution.

We were the structural and civil engineers working with a local engineer who delivered the project on-site. We provided our time and resources without charge.
