Read our article on how to implement BIM and the cost of implementations for those starting out on the BIM journey.
From the outset of the Practice we identified BIM as a key methodology that we wanted to implement into our design methods. There are significant benefits to using BIM for the structural engineer including digital prototyping, estimation of material quantities and costs, and visualisation and management of construction sequences. However, as with any implementation of a new technology a successful transition to BIM requires planning. We can't say that we got everything right first time and we are continually learning about the subject and refining our approach. We hope that this article gives an insight into what we have learnt!
